-- 1 qt collard/apple (1 bunch collard greens, 5 gala apples)
-- 1 qt apple juice (2387234 apples)
-- 24 oz orange juice
-- water of 1 young thai coconut
-- 2 qts watermelon juice
The lack of sleep the past few days (6 hours Sunday night, 6 hours last night) is really catching up withe me. My fatigue is leaving me unable to function, or work out, which is really important to me right now. I'm jumping into bed ASAP tonight.
Ew. Way too much sweet juice today. Like, entirely too much. I feel gross and foggy.
I've also done some reading about young thai coconuts lately, and I think I'm going to try to phase them out. Not necessarily entirely...but I really should stop sucking them down like there's no tomorrow. They're soaked/dipped/fumigated with all kinds of scary scary carcinogens (including bleach and formaldehyde, if I'm not mistaken), which undoubtedly make their way into the coconuts. No thanks.

i know, bummer about the coconuts, right? i think about that every time i open one, and make sure not to let the water or coconut meat touch the outer fibers, but i'm sure you are right, that it seeps inside. i have not yet decided to move past them, though. let me know if you hear of any other coconut sources in the city - i just get mine at the co-op.
i feel you with the lack of sleep, too. tonight is early to bed, no matter what! hang in there....carrie
