Well, well! I'm still here. :) I did some thinking last night and staying on the feast is definitely the best thing for me. Its also, in my opinion, probably a lot easier than coordinating a feast breaking right now. I still have a lot of juicing and healing ahead of me, and I'm looking forward to it.
Since the VitaMix is causing me lots of frustration right now & my nut milk bags are completely destroyed (and the main reasons I want to stop the feast), I promised myself an Omega Juicer on Wednesday of this week. Ideally I'd get a GreenStar, but its a bit too expensive for me right now. I think getting the Omega is really important whether I continue my feast through Day 92 or not. I can say with confidence that after my juice feast, I will NEVER make fresh juices in the VitaMix ever again. I hate, hate, hate it so much. All I can think about is how wasteful it is! The pulp is never dry, I can never all off the pre-juice pulp out of the container, and its just a mess, on top of all that. I want to continue drinking huge green juices every day after my feast ends, and it honestly won't be happening if there's no juicer to do it with.
I think when it comes right down to it, the final reason I didn't break my feast was because I knew I'd have to make juices for the feast breaking period anyway, so I may as well continue juicing anyway.
Today's Juices:
-- 1.5 qts apple/cuke/celery (4 apples, 1 cuke, 1 head celery)
-- earl grey with honey :)
-- 1 qt water
-- 1 qt apple/spinach/ginger (4 gala apples, 10 oz spinach, 2 inch cubes ginger)
-- 1 qt apple/blueberry (5 gala apples, 1.5 cups blueberries -- still my favorite!)

I'm also going to start shopping primarily at the co-op again, it is so much cheaper (and more convenient in the long run) to make the trek to the co-op three times per week than to end up at Whole Foods every day. I need to come up with some type of plan....I think I'll make out a sample shopping list (*cough*, produce order lol) that will last me 2-3 days then base my trips off of that. :)
PS! I had cough syrup taste (robitusson style) in my mouth for about five mintues today. How weird & exciting is that!!?

Very happy you are still here :-)
Juice on,

Glad you're still with us. We can totally relate to the frustrations and questions that you describe. We love your wit and the way you apply it to some of the difficult stuff we're all, most likely, dealing with.

Hang in there, baby!
Yeah, it's a funny thing - even stopping juicing, you won't stop juicing. I miss all the things you miss, about food prep and so on. I want to eat the damn red pepper, not juice it! The shopping is intense - B and I have figured out (somehow) how to make a shop every four days at the co-op, that's enough produce for 8 gallons of juice at a go! You should see the fridge tonight! Busting out all over....Anyway, feel free to use me as a juice-feasting lifeline, if you're feeling on the ledge, about to dive into the world of solids. I'm kind of settling into a 60 day mentality - that means we're in the 2nd third of the journey! All love to you, juice hero....
Spot on Alison,
"liquid sunshine + love" - that says it all :-)
Thanks, namaskar and a deep gassho - for your strength, humour, sunshine and love......
You are an inspiration......

Right on! So glad to know your still on the same (similar) path! ;-) I have an omega and I love it. I brought mine with me on my trip and it's working out great.
Have a great Day!!
hey Alison,
I've just passed on the Inspirational Bloggers award to you, catch :-)

Yikes! The reason I was interested in this juice feast was to make the juices in my vitamix because it's a pain to do all of that juice in my greenstar.
You're the first I've heard who doesn't like it. Is it that bad? eeek! I think I'll try a trial run and practice. I bought the paint straining bags from Home Depot. Cheap.
